Day 1: Arusha/Moshi – Lake Eyasi (Datoga Tribe Visit)
- Morning: Depart Arusha or Moshi with your Angulya Tours guide and drive to Lake Eyasi, a scenic region southwest of Ngorongoro Crater.
- Midday: Arrive at your lodge/camp near Lake Eyasi and enjoy lunch.
- Afternoon: Visit a Datoga village. Learn about the Datoga’s pastoral lifestyle, traditional dress, and blacksmithing skills. Observe demonstrations of metalworking—making arrowheads, knives, and jewelry—and see how maize is ground with stones. Interact with Datoga women and witness their cultural practices, including beadwork and traditional dances.
- Evening: Dinner and overnight at your Lake Eyasi lodge/camp.
Day 2: Lake Eyasi (Hadzabe Tribe Experience)
- Early Morning: Join the Hadzabe Bushmen for a hunting and gathering expedition. Walk through the bush as the Hadzabe men demonstrate traditional hunting techniques with bows and arrows, and gather wild fruits, tubers, and honey (seasonal).
- Mid-Morning: Participate in or observe fire-making using ancient methods, and learn about the Hadzabe’s click-based language and daily routines.
- Late Morning: Visit Hadzabe women at their homestead, try your hand at archery, and purchase handmade beaded items as souvenirs.
- Afternoon: Return to your lodge/camp for lunch and relaxation. Optional walk along the edge of Lake Eyasi for birdwatching and scenic photography.
- Evening: Dinner and overnight at your Lake Eyasi lodge/camp.
Day 3: Lake Eyasi – Arusha/Moshi
- Morning: Enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the lodge.
- Optional: Last visit to either tribe for any activities missed or further interaction.
- Late Morning: Begin the drive back to Arusha or Moshi, enjoying the beautiful landscapes en route.
- Afternoon: Arrive in Arusha/Moshi. Drop-off at your hotel or airport for onward travel.
